Rond de 31e week van je zwangerschap vindt er een intakegesprek plaats om je wensen en de mogelijkheden nog beter af te stemmen. Als je je eerste kindje verwacht, of als er bijzondere omstandigheden zijn, vindt het gesprek bij je thuis plaats. Krijg je een tweede of daaropvolgend kindje? Dan hangt het af van welke zorgverzekering je hebt of de intake telefonisch afgehandeld wordt of dat er een huisbezoek plaatsvindt.
De volgende onderwerpen bespreken we in ieder geval:
- Kennismaking
- Informatie over Kraamzorg VDA
- Jouw persoonlijke omstandigheden en wensen
- De indicatiestelling, het aantal uren kraamzorg
- De taken van de kraamverzorgende
- De arbocheck
- Mantelzorg
- Welke spullen je nodig hebt voor de bevalling en kraamweek (uitzetlijst)
Arbocheck
De intaker zal tijdens het intakegesprek ook een zogenaamde 'arbocheck' doen. Zij neemt met je door of de kraamverzorgende in jouw woning op een veilige en prettige manier haar werkzaamheden kan verrichten. Hierbij hanteren wij de regelgeving m.b.t. arbeidsomstandigheden en hygiëne. De intaker zal je indien nodig adviseren welke materialen in huis dienen te zijn en/of wat je voor je bevalling dient te regelen. Denk hierbij aan het verhogen van je bed met bedverhogers (klossen). Je kan de hulpmiddelen bestellen via medipoint.nl. De intaker noteert haar bevindingen en de gemaakte afspraken op het intakeformulier en laat dit bij je achter.
Mantelzorg
Het is goed om na te denken of er in de kraamtijd zaken zijn die ook een mantelzorger (partner, familie, vrienden) kan doen. In de uren dat de kraamverzorgende er niet is, kan wat extra hulp nodig zijn als je bijvoorbeeld nog niet zo mobiel bent.

A care consultant will get in touch with you in the seventh month of your pregnancy to arrange an intake interview so we know what you want and we can coordinate the options more efficiently. If you are expecting your first child, or if the circumstances are unusual, the interview will be held at your house. If you are expecting your second child, or a subsequent child, it will depend on your health insurance whether the intake interview will be held by telephone or whether we will visit you at home this time.
We will always discuss the following subjects, among others:
- Introduction
- Information about VDA Maternity Care
- Your personal situation and wishes
- Your care needs assessment, the number of hours of maternity care
- The maternity assistant's duties
- A check on the working conditions
- Informal care
- What you will need for the birth and the maternity week (layout list)
A check on the working conditions
The intaker will run a check on the “working conditions” during the intake interview. She will discuss with you whether the maternity assistant can do her work safely and comfortably in your home. The check is based on the working conditions and hygiene regulations. The care consultant will, if necessary, give you advice on which equipment should be ready and/or what you need to arrange for the delivery. For instance, your bed may need to be raised on blocks. You can borrow the right kind of blocks from a home-care shop. The care consultant will record her findings and the arrangements you have made with her on the form, which she will hand to you.
Informal care
It is a good idea to think about whether any of the tasks can be done by an informal carer (partner, relatives, friends). You might need some extra help in the hours the maternity assistant can't be with you, if you can't move around very well just yet, for instance.
