ABOUT VDA MATERNITY CARE
We could list plenty of reasons to explain why we think we can provide the right care for you and your new baby: we can help you feel safe – to us, you’re not just a number. Immediately after your registration, you (and your partner) will be on our radar. We will make sure we always know your current situation so you aren’t told something, or have something explained, more than necessary. We will treat all your information as confidential. Everything will be taken care of! Our care coordinators are your “busybodies”. They know everyone you might need and will make sure you don’t need to worry about your maternity care. Your care coordinator will find you the right assistant, the one who is best suited to you and your family situation. Your maternity care will be provided as much as possible at the times that suit you best. Moreover, we try to ensure that the same maternity assistant cares for you during your maternity period; we will only send another maternity assistant if the circumstances are beyond our control.
Payment
Almost all kinds of insurance pay-outs apply to our agency. Please check the conditions of your health insurance.
If you would like more maternity care hours than your health insurance pays out, you can buy more from us without any problem.
Close to you
There are always VDA Maternity Care maternity assistants who live in your neighbourhood. You can get in touch with us 24 hours a day for maternity-care related questions on 088 11 67 900.
Experts
Our maternity assistants are fully qualified and always have recently undergone (further) training. We have certification from the Foundation for Harmonization in Healthcare, which means that the quality of our work is guaranteed. We have even been awarded certification by Zorg voor Borstvoeding (Baby Friendly Nederland) so don’t hesitate to ask us anything at all about that topic.
Childbirth care in the Netherlands – all the services team up to focus on your pregnancy
The healthcare providers in the Netherlands have drawn up agreements on how they can work together to provide the best possible care for you and your baby. This is called comprehensive childbirth care. That care should be adjusted your preferences and choices. It is very important that you receive reliable, complete and comprehensible information so that you can make the best choices for you. Your healthcare provider can help you find that information.

We recognize that healthcare for internationals requires additional information and adjustments to your needs. Therefore we are a member of H4i, a non-profit network to improve the connection between the needs and expectations of healthcare in the Netherlands for internationals.
